The Manifold @ iMEdD International Journalism Forum 2023

The Manifold team will be participating in the iMEdD International Journalism Forum 2023. The Forum will take place from September 28th to September 30th at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival Piraeus 260 venue. The Forum will feature sessions on climate crisis, migration, press freedom, and more.

We are very excited to be joining the panel discussion on journalists’ pursuit of open information and accountability, on Saturday 30/9, at 15.30. The panel aims to delve into the current state of open data availability, explore the responses of public bodies to demands for releasing information, discuss the challenges journalists face while requesting data, and examine the initiatives they can employ to compel governments to share crucial information with the public.

The panelists are: Eva Belmonte, Investigative Journalist/Director, Civio; Kateryna Reznikova, Investigative Journalist/Editor, Kloop Media; Jeremy Singer-Vine, Director, The Data Liberation Project; and Augustine Zenakos, Journalist, The Manifold. The panel discussion will be moderated by Kelly Kiki, Project Manager iMEdD Lab/Data Journalist.
