Nikos Paraskevopoulos is a Professor of Criminal Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He was appointed Minister of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights in the first and second SYRIZA/ANEL coalition governments, and served until 2016. He was elected a Member of Parliament with SYRIZA in September 2015 and served until 2019. He ran for Parliament again with SYRIZA in the 2019 elections, but did not get elected.
