Domna Michailidou is an academic economist, who has worked on economic development, financial crises and public finances. She was previously an advisor on reforms to the Chairman of New Democracy. Since 2014, she was Adjunct Lecturer in the Centre of Development Studies, University of Cambridge where she has been teaching topics related to finance and development, private and public debt and government regulation. She was appointed Deputy Minister in the New Democracy Government formed in July 2019, responsible for welfare and social solidarity.
